EFT Tapping - Mind-Body Relaxation Protocol

Here at Northwest Wellness Center where I run my medical massage business as well as EFT tapping in Las Vegas I’m putting together a large, comprehensive program named (for now) the mind-body relaxation protocol. One formal name for it, and what this blog was named is, the Mind-Body Awareness and Healing Arts Center. I’ll cover a few of the details here and expand upon them in future blog posts listed here.

What is the mind-body relaxation protocol? It’s a series of different methods of stress relief techniques including EFT tapping in Las Vegas, meditation, proper breathing techniques, massage therapy, basic yoga techniques and several other different movement therapies. Why is this needed? Because I’ve yet to meet one person over the past 20 years that was not, or currently is not, stressed out; nor do any of us deal with stress very well. There always seems to be some low-level or intense anxiety in either the physical body (as physical discomfort or pain) or in the mind (as worry or concern.)

“Now Kris, if EFT tapping in Las Vegas is so marvelous at eliminating pain and emotional trauma, why don’t we just use this one method? Why is there a need for all these other activities mentioned above?” Good question. Although the mind and body are one, and the mind controls the body, there’s still ‘residue’ left in the physical body from our daily lives, activities and abuse. EFT tapping in Las Vegas is great for eliminating pain, yet it doesn’t cause bulging discs in your spine to magically stop bulging. Nor does it magically eliminate scar tissue from previous physical trauma. It doesn’t eliminate trigger points in muscles so they disappear. I could continue on with thousands of examples but I’m sure you get my point.

Thus the need for multiple tools in our toolbox, so to speak. As the mind runs the body, and IMHO is most important, we should begin there. EFT tapping in Las Vegas should be done as often as needed. Meditation and proper breathing techniques will also be included to reduce and minimize our stress levels during the day. Medical massage, yoga and other movement therapies (as I’m also a personal trainer) are directed more towards the physical body, yet, as the mind and body are one, ALL of the above affect both the mind and the body, simultaneously. You'll find this out as you perform any of the above in a more mindful manner, which I can assist you with.

I’ve studied a lot in regards to all of the ‘tools’ mentioned above. There are thousands, or probably hundreds of thousands of methods already that cover how to meditate, different forms of massage, yoga, etc. Three sources that are favorites of mine, and where I got the idea to create a mind-body relaxation protocol here at EFT tapping in Las Vegas, are:

Koichi Tohei Sensei, the founder of Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido, also known as Ki Aikido.

Full Catastrophe Living - Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress, Pain, and Illness by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D.

A Headache in the Pelvis: A new understanding and treatment for chronic pelvic pain and syndromes by David Wise, Ph.D. and Rodney Anderson, M.D.

Each of the three above put a different spin on what they teach and apply, yet all three address the mind-body connection in one way or another. Tohei Sensei uses the physical movements of Aikido (waza) coupled with Ki breathing, Ki meditation and Kiatsu. Jon Kabat-Zinn uses meditation and yoga. Dr. Wise and Anderson use trigger point therapy, visualization and meditation. Now you (hopefully!) can see where I’m going with this multi-faceted approach at EFT tapping in Las Vegas.

Please keep in mind that you don’t have to partake in ALL of these activities. That’s why I’m here as a Personal Performance Coach. You and I work together in creating your own program that suites you best. If you want to just perform EFT tapping in Las Vegas and some movement therapy, that’s fine. Perhaps you want to learn how to breathe properly in a stressful situation and visualize the EFT tapping in Las Vegas procedure. We can do that as well.

This all boils down to a couple of main issues: Eliminating emotional trauma when in a stressful situation (or anytime), and using functional movement to keep the body tuned up. Mind-Body. All of the above address both the mind and body, yet they seem to provide the best results when performed mindfully. Raising your level of awareness, is again, what I’m here to assist you with.

Ok, that’s enough for now. I have a few EFT Tapping in Las Vegas clients I need to work with on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Have a beautiful weekend and keep tapping, moving and enjoying yourself!

Placebo Effect With Dr. Lissa Rankin

I'm a big fan of Dr. Lissa Rankin. In the short video below she covers a lot of (basic) ground in regards to mind over medicine in self healing. She's also a big fan of EFT Tapping in Las Vegas which is a plus as well.

Is there scientific proof we can heal ourselves? Lissa Rankin, MD at TEDxAmericanRiviera

She says, "The placebo effect is concrete evidence that the body has its own innate self repair system."

Now, why is this important to us, here?

Well, it's not really important if you are looking to get out of pain. Yet, people in the healthcare industry get all worked up over 'evidence, 'science,' and 'placebo.' Oh, and let's not forget the elephant in the room, 'self healing.' Why is this such an issue? In my humble opinion of course, it's because if a placebo works, which is a part of self healing, where are all the health care providers and pharmaceutical companies going to make their money?

Please understand that here at EFT Tapping in Las Vegas I'm about making money as well. Yet, do I need to gouge people? I don't think so. Gouging occurs in almost all professions, yet, the healthcare industry is notorious for gouging. I'm sad to say it, but even people performing EFT Tapping in Las Vegas (as well as around the country) are gouging people. What's gouging you ask? Well, charging people $180.00 for 50 minutes is gouging.

Do I think providers need to get a fair price for their work? Of course. Yet, and here's the main point, clients and patients getting results should be priority #1, not the healthcare provider making money. Yet, in every industry, even with EFT Tapping in Las Vegas, this is backwards.

What should the going rate be? Heck if I know. What I DO know is that if you are charging over double the price of the rest of your competitors, you are gouging. I don't care if you have special training from special teacher in whatever it is you do. EFT Tapping in Las Vegas has many forms and many names. It's also been shown and proven that many methods work, and none are 'better' than the others. Thus, why gouge people? I thought you were trying to help them, not line your pockets.

Yes, this post has turned into a rant...so be it. It just works me up when I talk to other providers about what they're doing and the first words out of their mouth are, "Well, I need to drop more money to the bottom line." Eh? I thought the creed you agree to abide by was, "Do no harm, first, or do your best to assist the client." Here at EFT Tapping in Las Vegas with Kris Kelley you won't get gouged. Heck, I've even had clients offer me more money than I charge.

Oh well, rant over. I hope you got the point.

EFT Tapping Las Vegas Style With Las Vegas Massage

When I was on the telephone with EFT Tapping founder Gary Craig several weeks ago he gave me a suggestion I’ve taken to heart and have tried out with clients. I told him that I was a Las Vegas massage therapist and he recommended that I combine EFT tapping Las Vegas style along with my massage protocol.

He mentioned that perhaps I could have clients think about an MPI (Most pressing issue) while I work on areas of their body that are in pain or they are having an issue with. He told me something I already knew, which was that there are hundreds of energy meridian points located throughout the body, and that perhaps while they think of a painful issue I could cover these meridian points with EFT Tapping Las Vegas style during Las Vegas massage.

Or, have the Las Vegas massage client think of their MPI while I provide long, soothing strokes down the back of their spine. This seems to work (both methods mentioned above) in reducing their level of intensity, yet not as quickly as tapping on the specific meridian points that EFT Tapping Las Vegas style emphasizes in our protocol. (To see the tapping protocol, visit this page here, EFT Tapping Las Vegas Protocol and scroll down to the picture of the meridian points.)

These methods above were conducted on four Las Vegas massage clients, two with each method. I have tried one other option, and that is to have the client tap on the specific meridian points as described by EFT tapping Las Vegas while I also press into specific areas of their body where they feel pain. I also had the client tap on the points while I pressed into areas I thought may be the cause of the physiological pain and not the actual area in pain. This worked marvelously, yet it’s only one client and hardly a ‘proven method’ that works all the time. I’ll work with many more clients on this to continue to see how these methods work.

Please understand that this is a slow process, at least for me, in demonstrating results or lack thereof. Why? Several reasons contribute to this. First, I keep Las Vegas massage and EFT tapping Las Vegas style as separate protocols for most clients. This is because many new clients just want a massage for either stress relief or pain relief. Also, many don’t have the time to combine the two. Next may be a legal matter, as it would be a stretch to say that EFT tapping Las Vegas style would be a massage modality as defined by the State of Nevada in which I’m governed as a licensed massage therapist.

So, even with my regular clients, this takes time. Those who are willing to try EFT tapping Las Vegas style (it’s always their choice) may do so, if I think it may assist them. This isn’t something I’m forcing on clients. Yet, for those who are open to many options and agree to give it a try, it’s seemed to work very well.

EFT Tapping Las Vegas Protocol

I've finally found the time to write up the steps in regards to the EFT Tapping Las Vegas protocol. Yes, I'm well aware that there's already a million pages describing how to tap. Yet, for my own SEO for my pages, I needed to create one for myself.

Also understand that there's many forms of 'EFT Tapping.' I've learned from many of the advanced practitioners, yet mostly from the founder, Gary Craig. In my humble opinion though, that doesn't really matter. What matters is the interaction between you and me, if you are having trouble. Being specific to an issue, as well as bringing forth aspects of an issue are the key points that seem to really make EFT Tapping in Las Vegas successful for YOU. (This isn't about me at all, it's all about you.)

Thus, here's a link to my new EFT Tapping Las Vegas Protocol page:

EFT Tapping Las Vegas Protocol

Please note that I'll be adding a video to the page above as well when I find the time. In my humble opinion, a video of someone actually performing the EFT Tapping Las Vegas protocol is needed to be successful. If this still doesn't work, please call me at the phone number listed below and we can meet and I'll walk you through the steps.

Enjoy!

EFT Tapping With Las Vegas Clients

Here’s a quick story in regards to one of my clients who is being assisted with EFT Tapping in Las Vegas. Before I get to it, I’d first like to comment in regards to what EFT Tapping is NOT. And yes, this relates to the story.

EFT Tapping in Las Vegas is not hypnosis or any form of mind control. It will not ‘erase’ your memory at all or make you forget memories. It’s not psychoanalysis in that you need to dwell on any emotional issue you are having for any extended period of time, or, tell me all the details in regard to it. You don’t have to speak at all about it if you don’t want to.

I mention this above as the client with whom I’ll refer to as ‘John,’ was concerned with ‘losing his memories’ in some shape or form. That’s not the point and is not what occurs with EFT Tapping in Las Vegas.

As stated in a previous post, “The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. We have a distressing memory, this leads to a disruption in the body’s energy system, and then we have a negative emotion. This leads to chronic emotional trauma, chronic pain, disease, etc.” What we do is eliminate this disruption in the body’s energy system, thus eliminating negative emotions here at EFT Tapping in Las Vegas. Now, the rest of the story.

John lost his wife two years ago this month. They were extremely close and this was a devastating loss for him. His entire world revolved around her. She lost a nasty battle with cancer which I can relate to, as my sister lost a battle with cancer as well almost two years ago. We have discussed this on and off for the past two years, as John visit’s me for massage twice a week. I’ve mentioned to him EFT Tapping in Las Vegas on several occasions, yet he’s never really been very interested...Or perhaps just not ready.

Well, during the past couple of months during the holiday season, the emotional pain was more than he could endure. He stated he was willing to try anything in an attempt to relieve some of this mental and physical stress and pressure that was consuming him during every moment. (Even in his sleep; he told me he hasn’t had a good nights sleep in years due to all the horrific nightmares in regards to he and his wife’s struggle.)

Thus, after a massage session, he agreed to give EFT Tapping in Las Vegas a try. I always begin with explaining what we will be attempting to achieve, the process, etc. After explaining this to John, I noticed a smile on his face. I asked him why he was smiling and he said, “And here I thought you were going to hypnotize me or make me forget the memories of my wife. I don’t want that. I want to remember her forever, just without all this emotional pain.” Aha!

Have you ever gone through this? Losing someone or something you love? Most of us want to hold on to those memories as they are all we (think) we have. I know I did this with the loss of my sister. We often feel guilty if we don’t mourn, or think of them every single day. This is also part of the natural cycle of recovery. Yet, in my humble opinion, it doesn’t need to be painful. Or, let me re-word that, it doesn’t need to continue to be painful for years, or, forever.

Thus, I taught John the protocol and we cycled through it several times. He got some immediate relief on the general issues, yet once we talked through the real aspects of what was causing him so much pain, he then got great results! Afterwards he stood up straight and was breathing deeply again. (For the most part, he always arrived slump-shouldered, down and out.) It was a great feeling in assisting him with EFT Tapping in Las Vegas. We’ll work on this more after our next massage session.

So, the main point of this blog post is not how wonderful or marvelous EFT Tapping in Las Vegas is, but what it is NOT. John had the conception that I was going to ‘erase the memories of his wife,’ which is incorrect. Even though we had discussed this protocol several times in the past, he only heard what he wanted to hear in regards to many issues in his mind and losing memories of his wife. Hey, we all do this. Or, at least I know I do.

Another key point and I see this all the time in regards to my massage business, is that people seek help on their own timeline, or take action themselves in regards to their own health once something become intolerable. We, as health care providers, can’t rush this process. I gave up trying to save the world many, many years ago. And, I’m sure this is the way it should be, even if we want to assist someone with all our heart's desire.

EFT Tapping Las Vegas - Placebo Effect?

At the location I work at, Northwest Wellness Center, we have several new treatment options available. Besides my own projects such as EFT Tapping in Las Vegas, integrating personal training with more movement assessments and therapies, the marvelous doctor I work with is beginning several new therapies in her chiropractic practice as well.

She’s beginning therapies such as oxygen therapy, vibration therapy, micro-current therapy as well as light therapy. Exciting times! EFT Tapping in Las Vegas is even mentioned in a book she provides to her patients, entitled The Power of Self-Healing by Dr. Fabrizio Mancini. He’s a great ‘open minded’ doctor, just like the one I work with. We are going to have an excellent year with clients and patients! Keep up to date on our webpages here, Chronic Back Pain Treatment In Las Vegas and Chronic Back Pain Relief in Las Vegas.

As mentioned in previous blog posts, I haven’t always been open minded. My thought processes swung like a pendulum from one viewpoint to another. When I was open-minded I ordered the EFT Tapping in Las Vegas material many years ago, yet, then my mind swung in the other direction, towards science and so called ‘evidence based therapies.’ Yet, here’s the rub, and it took years for it to finally sink into my thick skull ;)

In science, if they can’t determine HOW something works, then it can’t be labeled as evidence based. A friend of mine spoke to a science researcher and relayed this to me in regards to EFT Tapping in Las Vegas or anything else that is ‘tough to prove' or can't explain how it works.

He told me that when studying something they (the science researchers) have to show two things; that the ‘whatever is being studied’ works and (the big one) HOW it works. He told me that he has seen hundreds of studies that have shown things like vitamins, herbs, alternative therapies (such as EFT Tapping in Las Vegas) and other things have worked, and sometimes they have worked better then the standard therapy, BUT, the studies could not show exactly HOW it worked, thus the rub.

So, because the studies could not show ‘how it worked,’ they could not say that the (whatever) did work. He also told me that the format for most standard studies, the same exact things has to be use exactly the same way every time with everyone that is in the study. (Is this even possible when working with the human body? This also makes it very difficult for something like EFT Tapping in Las Vegas to be ‘proven’ due to the fact that if you miss the true aspects to ‘tap’ on, then one may say, “It didn’t work.” True, yet, not for the reason science chooses for you to believe.)

Another example, take herbs; when used in a study, the same amount of the herb has to be used at the same time in the same way with everyone in the study even when the people (or animals) are not the same size or the same sex such as male or female. Think of this, the average "serving" or dose of a OCD (over the counter drug) is based on a 175 to 185 pound man, so if you are a 250 pound man the recommended "dose" might not work, or if you are a 120 pound woman it could be too much and they would have a better chance of getting the side affects. This goes for EFT Tapping in Las Vegas as well.

I was also told that a lot of times they had to classify something as ‘the placebo effect’ when they could not find out or see how something did what it did. So, the fact that something worked, but was classified as the placebo effect…does that tell us that it did not work or that the researchers just could not find out HOW it worked? The placebo effect is very powerful, yet, most people dismiss it as hocus pocus, a quick fix, results that won’t last, just a trick in your mind, etc. Thus, I’m often asked if EFT Tapping in Las Vegas is just a placebo effect. Yes and no. It depends. If the mind runs the body, which it does, and a calm mind residing in parasympathetic mode is activated, thus allowing calming hormones, not stress hormones to course through the body, and this is all based on the placebo effect, does it really matter? It’s the same with EFT Tapping in Las Vegas.

Thus, to summarize what my buddy told me in regards to his discussion with the science researcher: “There is a big flaw in how we do studies when it comes to things that affect the body when all the factors can not be standardized 100%.”

Please understand that I love evidence and science. Yet, just because something can’t be explained by science as to how it worked doesn’t mean it didn’t work. So, let’s just keep on tapping and see where it goes. If you haven’t tried EFT Tapping in Las Vegas, give me a phone call at the number listed below, or send me an e-mail. I offer a FREE initial session to get you started with EFT Tapping in Las Vegas. Why not give it a go?
